I am sitting downstairs watching the Yankee game. The current score is 1-1. Tanaka is pitching. My current mood is optimistic as I am positive the Yankees will win. I am hoping my prediction comes true. I turn to my mother as she pops the Pringles open and poors on some sour cream and onion dip with a spoon. She looks at the screen as Ramon Flores steps up to bat with one out in the bottom of the 7th. He makes it to first. Score still 1-1. Sometimes baseball is very relaxing. Other times it is a seat-of-your-panter or knuckle-biter.
Writing wise, I have hit a snag in my poetry. One magazine I submitted two poems to rejected me back in February, and decided last week, they'd reject the same work again. I had not resubmitted the work, but, alas, I find it humorous that they decided to reject it again.
Tales of the Strange and Bizarre, a book that I am working on, is coming along nicely. I have 53 pages so far. With any luck, I will be done writing the first draft of the book by mid-July. Once I am fully finished with it (written, edited and edited yet again), I am going to look for an agent. I am aiming high!
In other news, I am looking for a freelance writing gig that I can do from home.
Now, my mind is wandering....
