Remember the old Excedrin commercials where the actors would say ,"I have a headache THIS big?" Some of you may be too young to remember these commercials, and, so below I've posted a link ....

Well, I have a headache THIS BIG! I have chronic migraines. They are mostly on the right side of my head. My migraines tend to start at the back of my head, towards the base of my skull and wraps around to the front of my face to my ear and behind my ear. This is one condition associated with my Fibromyalgia. With this said, these are NOT tension headaches. Not to diminish from the pain that tension headaches cause, but these headaches come with aura, twitching, sometimes nausea, and sometimes I can't leave my house or even sleep with them. There is one type of headache that is worse than a migraine-- cluster headache.
Things you should know about people who have chronic migraines (or really any chronic condition):
1. We are not faking.
2. We are not doing this to call attention to ourselves.
3. Migraines are more than just your average headache. This is not caused by stress, but stress does cause symptoms to worsen.
4. We are not too young or too old to be in pain. Pain doesn't discriminate by gender or race or age.
5. If you don't know anything about our condition(s), then please don't pretend you know more than we or our doctors do.
Those are the main points, but I digress..
No ....really....I digress...
So, my head started to pound yesterday while I was on the computer browsing. I was in a silly mood. If I can make jokes about it, it helps me to deal with everything.
